In 2017 Otago Peninsula Trust celebrated 50 years of service to the Otago Peninsula community. As a pioneer of ecotourism , the board of the trust thought it timely to take stock and look back on the achievements of half a century.

The book begins by looking at the genesis of the trust in 1966-1967, followed by a year-by-year review of each of the first 50 years. It charts the many achievements of the trust as well as numerous challenges and setbacks.
